I've written a lot of things, and rarely do I censor myself - there are a couple terrible ideas I haven't gotten around to writing up yet (include Tick Tits Boom 2: Busts Over Baghdad) because they are terrible and require some time and consideration, but there are true stories from the world that I could never get away with writing. I couldn't write horror-porn like this, where a rape-victim is driven by the cops to a hotel room and is raped by the cops. I would get anthrax mailed to me and anonymous would publish my address and photo and real name if I wrote this as fiction.
I Couldn't Write This

I assume you would at least have the good taste not to use wordplay like "probing her case".

One casting every six seconds at CL9 gives you a bit more than 40 liters per second, which is comparable to the flow rates of some small, but serious, rocket engines. Six items running at full blast through a well-engineered engine will put you, and something like 50 tons of cargo, into space. Alternatively, if you thrust sideways, you will briefly be a fireball screaming across the sky at mach 14 before you melt from atmospheric friction.
Truth, fiction, strange, etc.
Kind of a tasteless way to present this news story, innit?
